A Word From Our Founder

I have lived, breathed, and dreamed eyewear since as long as I remember. I spent high school years running around my family’s optical center, eager to learn everything there was to know about the business. I was hooked. 

Post college, no matter what my job was, after my shift I was in the optical. They couldn't have gotten me out even if they wanted to, and I'm sure sometimes they definitely wanted to. I had some strong opinions on the future of eyewear (still have them) and believed that combined with my newly gained experience in fashion and sales, I was the perfect fit to join the business full time and kick off a new venture into luxury eyewear. 

That was all back in 2005 and after 20 years, I’m even more passionate about what I do. There is nothing like fitting someone with their perfect pair of glasses, their new precious babies. It’s instant gratification unlike anything else, capturing someone’s personal style in a way that makes an immediate difference in their life. 

I have this constant need for innovation, to stay ahead of the curve, so I imagined taking my boutique optical to the next level: ecommerce. So with the help of my dream team, My Eye Gems was born. Now I can help even more people find their flawless frame fit, without them having to leave the house. They can get the customer service, style guidance, and luxury eyewear know-how that I have spent my career perfecting. 

This is just the beginning and I can’t wait to see how we’ll grow!
