Meet the Stylist: Introducing Inna

I remember when I first started in eyewear, my first kid had just started preschool. It seems like yesterday but he’s going to be driving before I know it. So, it's been a little bit.

If I had to describe my personal style it would be “elegant edge”, like a chic rockstar who can run around an optical in 5 inch heels while balancing trays of frames.  I tend to pick pieces that exude confidence even when paired with something super casual and that’s definitely something that carries over when I style someone. If you don’t feel confident in your glasses, it’s time to switch things up.

Step number one when I style a new client is I try to gather as much information as possible; what’s their style, colors they gravitate towards, what flatters their face shape, and of course, their budget. It’s important for me to create trust and a long-lasting relationship with my clients, offering an unstoppable dynamic. My goal is to get a feel for their personality and lifestyle before we find them a new piece that works for them. Remember the glasses have to work for you, you don’t work for the glasses!

I am big on change, helping people find the next best thing for them and gently giving them a push to try something new. I love finding that happy medium of something just a bit outside their comfort zone but that still has some of those familiar touches. Sometimes a subtle shake-up is all a client needs to feel fashionable and confident. The way their faces will light up with excitement as they realize this is the pair, will always be my favorite part.

I hope I get to share that moment with all of you.
